Portfolio > Still Lifes

I was determined to paint today. But I was thinking about an interior and the scene I had in my head just wouldn’t match reality. I started looking for a simple still life - just a teapot and two cups. After switching between different teapots and cups I finally came up with this combination. Then I had to figure out the background/foreground. Next I was being blinded by light bouncing off of a glass table top outside. Eventually I got everything together and made this. I’m not sure the background is quite right, but I’m going to let it sit for a while.
