I really only like two artists from the 18th century: Jean Baptiste Simeon Chardin and George Stubbs. Too many shepherdesses, I think. But I love Chardin’s still life’s. So I decided to try a variation of one using my mom’s large Revere ware pot (we always called it a Dutch oven, but it isn’t), along with two potatoes, an onion, and a bulb of garlic.
