Yesterday morning I woke up thinking about a still-life featuring a self-portrait bust my sister-in-law made when she was in college. For some reason it lives at our house. I keep a hat on it. And so, I figured I'd make a painting with silly things in it. That lead to the rubber nose, the propeller hat, and the boa. But it wasn't quite enough, so I added the wig stand, the zombie sleep mask, and the red tri-corn.
