I went to the 4th annual Art to Finish competition in Franklin. I know I don't paint particularly well in competitions, so I decided to make myself even more uncomfortable by painting in oils. I figured as long as I wasn't going to paint well, I'd rather do it in a medium I'm not entirely comfortable with.

I actually had a pretty good time until I started working on the people (and dog). It's hard to paint people who aren't there. And they are the weakest part of the painting. The trees at the top really worked pretty well.
