Still Lifes
There are two problems with being a plein air painter in winter. Surprisingly, the first isn't the weather. It is the light. Days are short, making it difficult for a painter with a full time job to find time to paint. And the weather is often problematic. Leaden grey skies, wind, rain, and snow are tough to sort out. So I decided one day to set up a still life with whatever I had around. The dark blue cloth makes everything else glow. I think the onions don't quite say "onion," but overall I think it's a nice painting.
