Still Lifes
I painted most of this in 3 hours of a Saturday afternoon at the pottery studio.
After my heart attack I had restrictions on lifting, pushing and pulling that would keep me from doing pottery. So before I left for the studio I was looking around for objects I could put into a still life when I saw the piggy bank. I knew the pottery teacher had some very realistic fake eggs. I instantly hit upon the idea of breakfast. I found most of the other objects at the pottery studio, all very realistic fakes. The coffee cup I found didn't fit quite right, so I just left a space for it and painted everything else. 4 days later I had a better cup and fitted it into place. My original idea was to put a logo on the cup, but I later decided it was better plain.
