Still Lifes
I started this painting the day after I got out of the hospital after my heart attack and complications.
I was in an extremely blissed out state on the way home from the hospital when we stopped by the pottery studio to let our teacher know I was OK. She gave me three strawberries on a white plate. After I had eaten one and taken a bite of the second one I really started looking at them and saw the three ages of man; youth, adolescence, and age, as well as the three states of matter. Those strawberries contained the universe. How could I not paint them.
