Letting the dog out of her crate after an evening out, her tail knocked a bowl off the coffee table. There was much drama. The next morning I came up with the first two lines. Originally the third was going to be about kintsuge, honoring the bowl for its service, but nothing would come. Two weeks later I changed direction and in half an hour I had 5 different last lines. This was the best of them.
