Still Lifes
Since I sold a painting of daffodils at the state fair of which I hadn’t taken a photo because I couldn’t imagine it selling, I’ve made a point of painting daffodils every spring when they come up in the yard. This one features the miniature yellow ones and the regular white ones which are always the first to bloom. It also has a raku vase of Ellen’s.
The background was a lot pinker, which worked pretty well with the purple foreground, but it was a little too “Barbie” for me.
