Sunset cruise

A bunch of the Purdue Film Society members were standing on the dock at our friends' Bill and Rachel's place near Warsaw, Indiana at sunset. Just after the sun disappeared I noticed a large area of turquoise for which I couldn't see a source.
The next morning I recreated what I saw. I decided it needed a focal point, so I added the sailboat. I'm thinking of recreating this painting in oils with either a crescent moon instead of or addition to the sailboat.
