Painted at Horse Cove Campground, Nantahala National Forest, near Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, near Robbinsville, NC.
This creek runs through the campground. It was right behind our campsite, about 6 feet below the level of the tent. The water was very high when we got there, but slowly dropped in the 2 days I took to paint this.
There is something about the Smoky Mountain area that calls to me.
