I painted this at Weldon Springs State Park in east central Illinois based on a sunset I saw there and a dead tree elsewhere on the prairie.

This was an amazingly relaxing vacation. We didn't DO much beyond eat, sleep, walk, and read.

The vacation ended with the annual Purdue Film Society reunion - this year in West Lafayette, IN. I sold the painting to one of the members of the group.
