Painted during the 2009 Purdue Film Society reunion at a house on Lake Cora, near Paw Paw, Michigan. It is a companion piece to the painting on the front page of my site, painted on the same weekend.
I had a bone infection as a result of a broken leg. It was being treated with an intravenous port in my arm to which I connected a ball of antibiotics 2-3 times every day. Because of the port I was unable to swim - which I love to do. So I painted during the time I would normally spend swimming. The morning sunlight on the wall and flowers were stunning.
