Painted from a photograph. This painting won a 3rd place ribbon in the non-professional division at the Indiana State Fair the second year I entered paintings.
Katie was the first dog I had as an adult. My sister Bobbi found her abandoned somewhere, brought her home and gave her to me for my birthday in 1982 or 83. She was a great dog with an odd quirk. When she met you for the first time she would bark at you, but she would let you pet her. When you stopped petting her, she would bark at you again until you pet her again. She was a sweet girl and I miss her every time I see this painting.
