Painted during the 2005 First Brush of Spring paintout along a trail in Harmonie State Park.
Most people attending the First Brush paintout stay in town to paint. I like the town, but am not as comfortable painting there. I found this trail down by the boat launch on the Wabash River. A side trail goes up to the campground - a little too far to carry all the gear.
I enjoyed my first two years at New Harmony, but since then my painting there has gone steadily downhill. Maybe it's the competition - I don't know. I just tense up and can't relax.
