Painted on location in Canyon de Chelly National Monument, not far from where I used to teach high school math.
I think this was at either the Massacre Cave or Mummy Cave overlook along the north rim drive. It was late afternoon on a cloudy day. Tsaile Peak looms in the background with the vertical canyon walls in the middle.
This isn't as bad as I thought it was when I was painting it, but it needs more brighter colors & less pink.
